April Francisco is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She has been a nurse for 18 years, with 12 of those years in advance practice.
April began her nursing career as a registered nurse in the Intensive Care Unit. After completing graduate school, the physicians she worked with at the bedside provided her with numerous job opportunities. As a Nurse Practitioner, April gained experience in a variety of specialties including Trauma, General Surgery, Clinical Research, and Infectious Diseases.
April discovered her passion for Obesity Medicine when she moved to Washington state and joined the bariatric team of a hospital-based weight loss program. During her time there, April found the most rewarding work of her career, counseling and guiding individuals to achieve their wellness goals.
In her free time, you can find April travelling, crocheting amigurumi or solving puzzles in an escape room.
